Hello all. Just wanted to update you on the latest CamelBak product discontinuation news. CamelBak has been aggressively slimming down its product line as the GWOT deployments wind down (well.... for now) and various camouflage patterns get phased in/out. For example, it's safe to say there will be a new lineup produced in the Army's new Scorpion pattern soon, and it's not clear if MultiCam will continue on. We'll see how that plays out. And obviously ACU/UCP is going to slowly fade away... thankfully. Either way, here's a partial rundown of the latest and greatest: 1. LinchPin ACU Pattern: Discontinued, none available. Coyote Brown, Foliage Green, and MultiCam (OCP) are still available in good quantities. 2. ThermoBak EFP, 2L / 70oz DCU (Desert Camo) Pattern: Discontinued, none available. Black and MultiCam (OCP) are available in good quantities. 3. ThermoBak Omega, 3L / 100oz Black, Coyote Brown, ACU/UCP, MultiCam (OCP), and Foliage Green are still available, although some colors are backordered. DCU (Desert Camo) Pattern: Discontinued. In early June of this year, we purchased CamelBak's last remaining inventory of 92 pieces of the DCU pattern. We've sold through most of them, but about 25 are still available, and you can find them at the following locations, as well as on GSA Advantage (if you're a qualified Gov/Mil customer): http://www.armyproperty.com/nsn/8465-01-541-8391 or Amazon.com 4. Viper, 3L, Black: Discontinued. No other colors are available. In mid-August, we purchased CamelBak's last remaining inventory of 14 pieces. MotherLode, 3L / 100oz Still available in Black, ACU/UCP, Coyote Brown, Foliage Green, Digital Woodland Camo (MARPAT Woodland), and MultiCam (OCP). Digital Desert Camouflage (MARPAT Desert): Discontinued. In 2013 we purchased CamelBak's last remaining inventory of 50 pieces of Digital Desert. We've got 2 or 3 left. Update follows: Storm, 3L / 100oz, Foliage Green: Discontinued, none available. There are no other colors available. The last one went out the door in late August. MotherLode, Digital Desert: The last one shipped out a few days ago. Sorry to have to pass along the bad news! |
