This message board is here so you can request NSN's to be added to the ArmyProperty library. To do this, you'll need to log in to the forums (or create an account..... sorry, the existing ArmyProperty user database doesn't carry over to the forums...... we're working on getting that fixed). Once you are logged in, click on the "New Topic" button and make your request. Then we'll do some looking on our end and see what we can find out. But...... we can't guarantee that we'll be able to find every NSN that people request, because of the difficulty in finding certain hard-to-find parts and items. (Any assistance from the community would be highly appreciated, if you know the answer to a question that we're stumped about!)

#138C660H01 (Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation)

Item Description: An inclosure, including two or more electrodes, in which a flow of electrons may occur through a vacuum or a contained gas. The electronic conduction takes place either by means of electrons emitted from a cathode or by ionization of the contained gas. Includes phototubes (photoemissive type only), Geiger-Mueller tubes, traveling wave tubes, cathode ray tubes, and microwave tubes (Klystron, magnetron, or the like). Excludes items whose primary purpose is to produce light energy. Also excludes PHOTOELECTRIC CELL; and SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICE.

Item Specifications (Technological Details):

- L-band Ring Loop TWT
- 1.24-1.36 GHz
- 6 kW peak power output
- Pulse width 40 µsec @ duty .032
- Peak cathode voltage 11 kV @ 2.2 A
- Heater 19 volts @ 2.8 amps
- Grid pulsed 275 volts; current 300 mA
- Grid bias- 50 volts; current @ 50 mA
- Collector voltage 0 kV (to ground)
- Grid pulse voltage 228 volts
- Body current 600 mA
- 52 dB saturated gain
- Weight 22 lb

Item Benefits: Long operating life; forced air cooling.

Here are the names of past manufacturers: Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, L-3 Communications Corporation, Communications & Power Industries Incorporated. If you have any sort of familiarity with this product, we would be happy to conduct business with your association. Or if you are affiliated with any other company that would specialize in the knowledge of this field, please let us know. Are there newly developed NSN numbers for this part?
