Thanks for writing in. The ArmyProperty.com forums were created in March 2008 to help provide visibility for the Army-wide community, into the large volume of requests for UNCLASSIFIED technical information that were previously being sent directly to our development team. The theory was that if one Soldier had a question about something (looking for an NSN, a BII/COEI list, etc) then others probably did too. We also did this in an effort to solicit assistance from the community on topics and questions that were outside our capability to answer. The public website itself has been active since January, 2007. A private, closed version was first created in April, 2005 to assist one deployed company with property accountability.
