Topic review - M22 Binoculars

Guest,

Thanks for writing in. The TM for M22 binos (and remember that there are several different types of M22's) does not include a BII / COEI listing, if that's what you're inquiring about. Is there another reason you need it? (Looking for repair part NSN's, for instance?)

We have made the decision not to post TM's on the website, partly due to OPSEC considerations (even when they're approved for public release), and partly because they are large files, sometimes 10MB or more in size, and could affect the website's performance by consuming too much bandwidth. If you are signed up to use the private / restricted side of our website, you can download "TM extracts" which are typically 5-10 pages in size, and which show the BII / COEI listings for numerous end items.

Thanks!

These binos have NO BII or COEI according to the technical manual. Some units like to account for the lens caps, straps, etc but do not need to. In addition, sometimes the property book officer (PBO) will require serial-number accountability; however, these rarely come from the factory with serial numbers (especially the modern "black" version), so units will usually engrave "custom" serial numbers on them, or just leave serial numbers off the property book altogether.
