This is the official "issue" waist pack that the Army distributes to deploying units, in addition to the MOLLE Rifleman Set, Rucksack, Assault Pack, and other items in the RFI ensemble. It attaches to the rucksack or assault pack, FLC vest, or can be worn by itself. Many units require their Soldiers to use this item, although others allow the use of aftermarket waist packs made by Blackhawk, Tactical Tailor, and other companies.
