Hi all. There have been some questions about the USAF flight jackets recently. Here's what we know right now: CWU-36/P (Summer weight, sage green). There are two sets of NSN's for this jacket. Both sets are for the same model designation (CWU-36/P) and the same MILSPEC (MIL-J-83382). The first set was established in the mid-1970s. Here they are. CWU-36/P, MEN'S, SUMMER, SAGE GREEN, SMALL: www.armyproperty.com/nsn/8415-01-010-1912 CWU-36/P, MEN'S, SUMMER, SAGE GREEN, MEDIUM: www.armyproperty.com/nsn/8415-01-010-1911 CWU-36/P, MEN'S, SUMMER, SAGE GREEN, LARGE: www.armyproperty.com/nsn/8415-01-010-1910 CWU-36/P, MEN'S, SUMMER, SAGE GREEN, X-LARGE: www.armyproperty.com/nsn/8415-01-010-1913 The second set of NSN's, again for the same model and color and size range, was established in 2012 (and an XXL size was added). The newer ones have more of a matte, OD green finish compared with the older ones which are somewhat shiny and a little bit darker. Here are the new ones.
