 Post subject: Hand Receipts

I am trying to look at, generate for that matter, hand receipts but I am having a slight problem; I don't have a list for "Property Book:". How can I make a "Property Book" so I am able to add my equipment to it?

Thanks for the question. There are a couple of things you need to do before you can print hand receipts.

1. Sign up for an account and wait for the approval to come through. (Lately we've been approving accounts within 6-8 hours.)
2. Go to "My Organization" and create a couple of subordinate duty positions for your subordinates.
3. Go to "All Property," find the end items that you want to sign down to your subordinates, and add them to your property books (master hand receipts). If you can't find them, go to "My Property" and add them to the reference list.
4. On the "My Property" page, ensure you've got your equipment delegated to subordinates in the correct quantities.

Once these actions are complete, you should be able to print out hand receipts for your subordinates. Or if you want, you can give them access to the system (by clicking "assign" in the "My Organization" page), and they can do it for themselves.

I've now been able to add personnel to my hand receipt as delegates but I'm still having a problem. I'll explain the steps and what happens:

1) I go into All Property and find the item I need to add; for instance, M68 NSN 1240-01-411-1265
2) I click on the symbol to make adjustments to count on the left
3) I place my count, 58, and hit the GO button
After this it won't matter who I've placed the item going to because they all do the same thing: clear amount box and reset drop down to "undefined"
4) Lastly, I go into My Property and try to look at what I hope I've just added but nothing is there and I am now stuck at square one. :(

Is there any guidance that I can get and be shown what I seem to be doing wrong? Maybe I missed a step that I didn't see :?:

Well, I think we've got it figured out. As you mentioned in your other post, it looks like you're the owner of an organization, and a subordinate as well. We have gone into the system and removed the duplicate organization. So..... I think you're probably all set for now. Thanks for bringing the problem up, and in our next software update, we'll put a feature into the system which will head this problem off, before it even happens.
