The Urban Thermal Weapon Sight II (UTWS) from NVS incorporates high resolution detector technology for day and night surveillance, reconnaissance and target acquisition for individual and crew-served weapons. It is also utilized for man portable applications. This sight offers a number of advanced features including an 18° horizontal field of view (HFOV) lens that is ideal for Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) and other operations where a wide field of view with close-in focus is required. The narrow field of view is designed for situations demanding distant target detection and recognition. The Urban (Light) Thermal Weapon Sight II (UTWS) incorporates 25 micron (VOx) microbolometer uncooled thermal imaging technology. It weighs 1 pound 14 ounces.
